Lithgow Council provides a free green waste collection service four times a year with the next scheduled for February 5.
Pick ups can include:
Garden prunings no longer than 2m and not thicker than 200mm, tied in bundles
Lawn clippings and leaves must be placed in a durable container, cardboard box or hessian/plastic bag
A weight limit of 16kg for each bundle or box applies
Quantity of one cubic metre, which is equivalent to about four wheelie bins allowed per premises
Council’s Customer Service Office on 6354 9999 or register on Council’s website www.council.lithgow.com to take part in the pick-up by midday on Friday, February 2.
Remember to place your green waste on the kerb ready for collection the day before.
