The seven-a-side match up which honours the memory of a past player was contested by five teams, including two from Orange and one from Bathurst.
‘The two Wallerawang teams included a combination of players from the three local teams, the Cutters, Lizards and Cougars.
The Cougars and the Cutters (as they were called on the day) met in the final, each undefeated in their previous two games. It ended in a draw and shared honours for both teams.
“It was a tight game, played in the right spirit,” Wallerawang Senior Baseball president Jason Lane said.
Senior Baseball will get started again on January 14.
The club will also be running a fundraising barbecue in conjunction with Wallerwang’s New Year’s Eve fireworks at Lake Wallace.
