The event celebrated another successful year and honoured the champions and runners-up of the two competitions that were played in 2017.
Champions of the winter competition were Loopers, consisting of Peter Jaccoud, Mark McAulay and Michael Wood.
They defeated Grippers 14-8 in the Grand Final. Grippers were represented by Kelly Gurney, Lou Kappos and Matt Kappos.
Charolais were crowned champions of the just completed summer competition following a hard-fought 16-12 victory over Loopers.
The Charolais side comprised Sean Jenkins, Dave Mays and Pauline Wellfare. Kelly Gurney, Linda Kappos and Michael Wood made up the Loopers team.
President Mark McAulay thanked all of the players for their efforts and sportsmanship both on and off the tables and urged them to return again in 2018.
The Association will hold practice nights on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout January at the Old Trades Hall with an eye to commencing the first competition of 2018 in early February. Contact Peter Jaccoud (0404 467 852) or Pauline Wellfare (0432 265 624) for more information.
