His fundraising walk, called ‘7 for 7 for Simon’, from Cullen Bullen to Portland took place on December 6, Simon’s birthday.
By the time the walk took place, Hayden’s fundraising had already smashed his goal. The final total has now been released, raising a whopping $13,720.65, almost double the target he set himself.

The charity, which supports families who have lost a child, was established by Simon’s parents Renee Bradford and Shane Williams in 2016. Renee and Shane sent out a “huge thank you to everyone that donated to the walk” on the charity's Facebook page.
“A special thank you to our anonymous donor who made a large donation to the walk and to Springvale Charity assistance for their generous donation,” the post said.
“The support we receive from our community is amazing. Thank you everyone so much.”
