Lithgow’s Oliver O’Toole has been recognised as a high-achiever of St Stanislaus’ College’s graduating Year 12 class for 2017, gaining Band 6 results in eight subjects.

The results were released on Thursday, December 14, as all NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) students received their marks.
Oliver received more than 90 marks out of 100 in Ancient History, Drama, English advanced, English extension 1, English extension 2, Legal studies and Modern History.
He also finished with a Band 6 in his accelerated Studies of Religion 1 class, which he completed in 2016.

As well as being recognised as an “all-rounder”, Oliver was singled out for his outstanding results in Extension 2 English, finishing with 49 out a possible 50 marks.
St Stanislaus’ College, head of college Dr Anne Wenham said the results this year were a Stannies record.
“Year 12 2017 students have made Stannies history with their outstanding results,” she said.
“What a wonderful 150th birthday present for our College. This is a celebration of excellence in boys education and we are proud of all our Year 12 students – we have challenged them to set their goals and they have well and truly achieved them.”
