La Salle Academy’s Callum Woodrow has topped the state in one of his subjects and been recognised as a Catholic education “all-rounder” for his outstanding results in the HSC.

He finished first in the state in Studies of Religion and was one of only two students across the Bathurst Diocese to score 10 units of Band 6 results (marks over 90 out of 100). The other high performer was Casey Mutton from MacKillop College, Bathurst.
La Salle Academy principal Joyce Smith said the school community had been thrilled by the results of the Year 12 cohort.

The class of 33 students came away with 13 Band 6 results and 21 Band 5s (more than 80).
Mrs Smith said that Callum, who finish with Band 6s in every single subject, was “a bright star” in a very talented student group.
“I think they had the motivation and a great teaching staff behind them giving them extra time, before and after school, in school holidays,” she said.
“They all rose to the challenge… and they have left big shoes to fill.
“We’re all quite thrilled and I want to congratulate them all on their wonderful effort.”
