Three students from Lithgow were selected to represent NSW in multiple track and field events at the Pacific School Games.

They have returned from the competition held in Adelaide last week with great results competing against some of the nation’s best school-aged athletes.
Lithgow Public School student Angus Clues was selected to represent NSW in ten events over the three-day games, bringing home medals and breaking personal bests in shot put and discus.
Angus received a silver medal in the combination multi-event, where he just missed out on the national record.
Angus gained a silver in shot put, throwing 15.3m, and a bronze in discus with a huge throw of 39.4m. He was selected to be part of several relay events representing his state in 8x100m where NSW finished first and 8x80m finishing third.
“What incredible achievements and memories for Angus. Well done, the Lithgow Public School community is very proud of you!” Penny Healey of Lithgow Public School said.
Ryan Wells and Blake Fittler of Cooerwull Public School also competed in the Pacific School Games.
Ryan just missed out on a bronze medal, securing fourth place in the 10 years and under high jump with a jump of 1.38 metres.
Blake placed sixth in the 10 years and under shot put, throwing a 2kg shot put a huge 11.14 metres.
