A huge weekend of at Lithgow Golf Club kicked off on Saturday with a two ball best ball competition sponsored by Toyota Finance played as the curtain raiser for the Lithgow Open on Sunday.

Peter Thompson and Mark Willmott won the day with the pair finishing with the huge score of 53 points.
Thompson was the dominant point scorer and with his score of 47 personal points took out the singles event that was held in conjunction.
Runners-up on 50 points on a countback were veterans Dave Titcome and Tom Jennings.
Best grade scratch scores were Brian Judge on 37 points in A grade, Scott Hamment on 28 points in B grade and Peter Thompson on 26 points in C grade.
The hole in ones over recent weeks continued with Greg Hunter holing out on the par three second hole.
Hunter who has been one of Lithgow’s best for many years has now scored six aces in competition golf and 10 all up.
Other nearest the pins went to Bob Ritchie, Don Wolfenden, Daniel Buckens and Greg Hunter again on the 18th.
Balls cut out on 46 points on a countback.
