Castlereagh Highway blocked after fatal crash at Mudgee

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash just 10km north of Mudgee at 12.15pm on Thursday, December 7. There were calls that two vehicles had collided.
A woman has died at the scene and a second driver remains trapped. A rescue helicopter has been called to assist.
The highway is expected to be closed for some time as inquiries continue.
Southbound traffic is being diverted via Lesters Lane and northbound traffic is being diverted via Hill End Road.
