A man was arrested and charged in the early hours of Tuesday morning, November 21 after allegedly blasting music off and on from his Eskbank Street home between midnight and 5am.

Police were called at midnight after other residents complained about the loud music playing. Officers visited the home multiple times during the night, giving the resident noise abatement notices, before he was arrested at 5am.
The 25-year-old was charged with failing to comply with a noise abatement notice.
Phone stolen
A man eluded police after snatching a mobile phone that was on display in the Lithgow Telstra store on Tuesday afternoon, November 21.
The man, described as 20-30 years of age, walked up to the demonstration point, unhooked the phone and left the store. The phone is valued at $432.
Police responding to the call spotted him a short time later and gave chase but he got away. Police are looking for a man who was described as wearing a black cap over red hair, an orange hi-vis polo shirt with black sleeves and shorts with brown work boots.
