Tim Hughes was elected to take the reins of the rugby league side and Jasmine Spittles was chosen to be in charge of league tag.
Hughes is a life member of the Bears after being a valuable participant for over a decade.
He co-coached the Bears in 2008 and was a player for two grand final victories and one season where his side finished in second place.
He has proven to be a passionate supporter of the Bears club and brings a host of rugby league experience and knowledge.
Spittles has been a Lithgow Bears league tag player since the club introduced a ladies side two years ago.
She has helped captain the team and is looking forward to the year ahead.
This is the first year the girls have had a female captain-coach and the Bears hope that this will encourage more girls to be involved.
The Bears will be holding their Christmas party and muster day on Saturday, December 16 at the Tony Luchetti Sportsground.
Any players wishing to play for the club are welcome to attend the day.
There will be a free BBQ and prospective players will have the chance to meet the coaches, committee and other participants within the club.
