Portland were tasked with setting a total and their 5/170 proved to be be far too many for La Salle who were skittled for 63 in 23 overs.

DOWN IN THE DUCK POND
This edition's duck pond is significantly more bare than the previous write-up with plenty of space to swim around for last weekend's ducks.
Compared to a miserable 14 ducks in round four, a more reasonable six batsmen waddled down to the water in round five.
In first grade La Salle's below par innings featured two ducks including the unlucky Mark Wren and Will Hutchison. Both were dismissed by Portland’s Mitch Bionda.
In second grade La Salle's Luke Thompson caught off the bowling of Jared Young before he could score a run.
In reply Portland's Leon McCann and Cliff Kinchella were both removed without scoring by hat-trick hero Luke Brown.
Lithgow Hotel's Peter Ford fell for a duck as he was caught off the bowling of Dominic Dellabosca.
Tune in again next week to see who had a rubbish day at the office in round six of Lithgow District Cricket.
