Students have been deep in rehearsals for the event, which is a celebration of student talent and success.
This is the final week of school for talented student performers who are currently gearing up for the 2018 Schools Spectacular to be staged at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena in Olympic Park.
Next week, featured performers, dancers, singers, musicians and others engaged in this amazing show will be heading to Sydney for final rehearsals and four performances of the big show on Friday and Saturday, November 24 and 25.
This year’s Schools Spectacular theme is Own the Moment.
More than 5700 students from all over NSW star in the Schools Spectacular, including a choir of 2700 voices, 2400 dancers; a 100-piece symphony orchestra; world-class stage band, 44 solo singers and 145-featured dancers.
This is the 34th year of the Schools Spectacular. Last year, Schools Spectacular broke the Guinness World Record for the Largest Amateur Variety Act in the world.
And the 2108 show is bigger than ever.
Schools Spectacular is a massive co-operative venture as thousands of talented students and their dedicated teachers join with industry professionals to stage an unparalleled entertainment extravaganza of massive proportions.
