The 16-year-old futsal star will depart for a tour of Spain and the UK on November 20 to test herself against the best in her age group at three international tournaments.
Holly was selected to travel and play with the girls Australian Futsal Youth Team after her strong performances at the national championships in January.
Australia is set to take on teams from the host nations and possibly others from around the world as well.
Holly will be treating the competitions as a trial for the youth world cup which takes place in France next year, one tournament she certainly does not want to miss.
The year 10 student at La Salle Academy will be overseas for around three weeks meaning her return will coincide with the end of the school year and start of school holidays.
However she didn’t time her trip well enough to miss out on her exams which finished this week.
As Holly has built up her overseas experience she has noticed different countries employing varying styles of play.
“Some countries are more aggressive while others have a lot of strategies and tactics,” she said.
The Brazilians bring physicality and are more likely to bully sides off the ball whereas China bring strategy to the game in an effort to out-think their opponents.
“I’m just really keen to see how Spain plays because that’s one I haven’t seen yet,” Holly said.
Both parents, Joe and Sloan Beecroft will be heading over to Spain and the UK to support their daughter.
