Flames (Maggie Thompson, Amy Gordon, Mieke Willis, Taya Roland, Ella Houlison, Abby Reid) came into the game as favourites and were on fire in both attack in defence to take a 20-5 lead into halftime.
Lightning (Tayah Crook, Bianca Capamolla, Aliese Thompson, Elka Lee, Annika Dellabosca) tightened their defence in the second half but Flames had too much in reserve and took the title comfortably.

The Lithgow Basketball Association will contest the Grand Finals of the Junior Men’s Competition this Thursday afternoon following the Finals played at the Barton Street Stadium.
Under 12 Division
This was the match of the afternoon with Bulls (Blake Livingstone, Tom Giokaris, Colby Van Der Veldon, Dane Griffiths, Taj Jenkins, Tom Best, Caiden Traish) favoured to account for Lakers (Alex Flynn, Mitchell Scott, Tiger Prentice, Jai Simcoe, Kyan Campbell, Archie Morris). It looked to be one-way traffic when Bulls ran out to a commanding 20-12 halftime lead. Lakers weren’t done though, and a brilliant second stanza from them saw the score locked at 28-all at the end of regulation time. Lakers’ second half heroics took their toll, and they were unable to score in the overtime period while one basket from Bulls was enough to see them through to the Grand Final, 30-28.
Under 14 Division
Wildcats (Ashton Hunter, Eli Morris, Connor Moss, Ashton Kenniff, Emmett Freeman, Nathan Ralph, Harrison Wells) got out of the blocks quickly against Lakers (Brendan Barber, Riley Hart, Connor Fitzpatrick, Riley Bell, Connor Goodman, Keegan Phelan, Dane Houlison) and held the upper hand with a 34-22 advantage at the break. Lakers couldn’t put a dent in the deficit in the second period and Wildcats rumbled to the win and a Grand Final berth, 60-41.
Under 16-18 Division
Minor Premiers Comets (Hayden Cox, Jarron Petra, Liam Pyne, Lachie Wilson, Luke Thompson) needed to turn their form around in their game with Bulls (Mitch Gurney, Ethan Hill, Tallis Flynn, Kory Pringle, Daniel Edwards) after they were soundly beaten in the Major Semi by Wildcats. Bulls led early but Comets went past them to go to the half up 38-27. The margin stayed at about ten for most of the second half before Bulls closed to within four late in the game. Comets kicked again, and held on to book a Grand Final ticket, 70-62.
