A missing 24-year-old French tourist who has been the subject of a police search has been found deceased in bushland in Katoomba.

The man was reported missing on Monday, November 6.
He was last seen leaving Katoomba Railway Station just before 2.30pm on Monday. At the time he was seen carrying a dark grey and black-coloured backpack which was later located at the Echo Point lookout at Katoomba.
Following a coordinated search, the man was located deceased in bushland at Katoomba on Wednesday, November 8.
The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.
