They defeated the team of Greg Tilley, Kevin Pender, Al Davies and Tiger Feltham in a fairly dominant display.
Nunan’s men led 7-nil and then 16-7. A five to each side made no difference as Nunan went on to win 28-18.
In the early rounds Nunan’s team took on Chris Neaves Tony Holden Daryl McSorley and Joe Menchin.
This game was always close with both sides having the lead at times.
With the score at 13-all Nunan got the jump to pick up a four before going on to win 19-17.
Nunan and his team then took on Steve Jackson, Pommie Williams, Daryl Archer and Peter Matchett.
The Jackson team lead early but they could not hold off the Nunan team who went on win well by 22-14.
Greg Tilley’s side caused the boilover of the competition when they defeated the more favoured team of Craig Pugsley, Craig Brown, Peter Piggott and Graham Hayley.
Pugsley lead 5-2 but Tiger levelled up on 8 all. A five on the 15th end shot Tiger to the lead and his team hung on to win 18-15.
The bowling season is starting to kick off with several club events as well as some interclub games on the calendar. The sheets are on the board for the coming pennant season.
The Wang verses Bathurst Magellan challenge is set down for Sunday, December 10 at Bathurst.
The annual Legacy Day is on November 15 with names in by November 8 please.
Entries for the Hard Rock Memorials mixed pairs close on November 11. This year’s event will be played under a different format as we trial the use of sets.
