Fourteen of Lithgow’s finest have been furiously learning their lines for the upcoming play ‘Stand and Deliver’, set in the mayhem of a maternity ward.
Four mothers to be: The young and the pregnant to the old enough to know better, the first time mum and the late in life ‘accident’, these women all have a familiar story and a tale to tell.
This play has strong language and is not suitable for the easily offended.
This production has a new and familiar faces – Al and Laurin Shirt – a family combination - are joined on stage by Judy Riley (Pettitt), Kylie Pearce, Jayson Wilkinson, Emma Francis and Donna Dykes with Sandra James returning to the stage after a three year hiatus.
Newcomers Matt Trounce, Lorelle Thompson, Lily Hasler, Chantelle Peters and Beth McGovern are ready to perform with Sandra Gordon taking on the challenge of the lead nurse Lindsay Walker.
Greer Ashworth has taken on the play as her director and is making it all her own.
Performances commence on Thursday, October 26 at Club Lithgow at 8pm and continue Friday and Saturday nights.
You can head to Hampton for a one-off performance at the Halfway Hotel on Saturday, November 4 at 8pm. Tickets for the Lithgow Shows can be pre-purchased at the club, and will be available at the door on the night.
