The best riders from around the state will contest the fifth and final round of the season at the Pony Express track of the local Central Tablelands Mountain Bike Club.
The event centre will be located at the Lithgow Pony Club on Hassans Walls Road.
Get an up close look at the Pony Express track in the video below.
Competitors will have a chance to get accustomed with the conditions with practice runs on Saturday and Sunday morning before the racing begins 11.30am on Sunday.
In the Elite Men's it will be a showdown between Hamish Cowan and Central Coast's Duke Millington who are on the same amount of series points after four rounds so far.
Lithgow's own Joel Willis sits in fourth place ahead of the final round on his home track. Local rider Zack Hutchison is also racing for podium positions, currently he is third in the Under 19's category.
In the Elite Women's, Campbelltown's Kellie Weinert holds a solid lead.
Lithgow locals are also right in the hunt in the other age categories including the Stockton brothers from Wallerawang.
Pacey Stockton currently sits in first place of the under 19 men and younger brother Wil is second in the under 13s despite missing out on round three.
Our other great hope is Ethan Corney who is currently a very close second in the under 17s.
It will be an action-packed weekend and an exciting opportunity to watch the performances of the state's top downhill athletes.
