Thelma moved from Lithgow to Fingal Bay 12 years ago.
Her celebrations started on her 100th birthday on September 21 at Fingal Haven Hostel with her family and fellow residents at Happy Hour, with a birthday cake and wine.
Her daughter Marilyn Weekes her mum got a huge kick out of reading the letters she was sent, from the Queen and other dignitaries, to mark the occasion.
Thelma’s party on Saturday, September 23 at Fingal Haven Hall was, in the words of her family, “absolutely fabulous”.
Thelma had a lovely day shared with about 100 guests.
More than 50 immediate family members attended Thelma’s party, including grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Family and friends came from Queensland, Wollongong, Sydney, Lithgow, Victoria and Port Stephens to party with Thelma.
