The biggest item on council’s wish list is an adventure playground in Endeavour Park. For this project, Lithgow Council have requested just over $1 million from the state government.
Due to the large size of the project, council will need to contribute some of its own funds to completing the adventure playground if it is approved.
Just over $775,000 has been requested to make improvements to the Union Theatre including the installation of change rooms.
“Council staff have been working hard to gather all required supporting evidence to enable lodgement of community funding applications relating to a range of recently advised grant funds some of which restrict applications to greater than $100,000,” said Cr Lesslie.
“Our thanks also to staff at the Department of Premier and Cabinet who have provided guidance to our staff as the applications have progressed.
“Whilst we have submitted applications, we should mould our expectations to the competitive environment for the available funds.”
