The defending champions started slow today, initially coming into the second half two goals behind the Two Blues. But two penalty corner conversions from striker Nic Milne turned the game around, and soon the teams were in extra time with a level score of 3-3.
Two golden goal rounds brought no winner so the teams entered a penalty shoot out. Matt Johnson scored for Souths but that wasn't enough against Panthers' perfect three goals from Brandon Horner, Taylor Dolbel and Nic Milne.
