Nurse Kim Dixon got the ball rolling for the local fundraiser and the rest of the veterinary staff chipped in by making cupcakes.
Fellow nurse Aliza Miller even took some time to make special cupcakes for the dogs.
The veterinary hospital has so far raised over $200 for the RSPCA.
Students at Lithgow High School also got into the Cupcake Day spirit to raise over $360 for the RSPCA.
All of the funds raised will go towards helping rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the 135,000 animals that come through RSPCA shelters every year.
As of midday on Wednesday, over $470,000 had been raised nationally.
