Whilst relatively close in target rifle terms, the 300 yard target is also the tightest target we shoot on, and that combined with the gusty winds of the day meant high scores would be hard to come by.

In Target Rifle A Grade John Baxter opened his account with a first stage possible of 50 with six V bullseyes only to succumb to the wind in his second stage shooting 49 with four V bullseyes.

Target Rifle B Grade had three contenders with Greg Davies narrowly got one up on Craig Holder to take the First stage 49 with three Vs to Holder’s 48 with two V’s.

The second stage was even closer with Davies beating Holder by just two V bullseyes, 48 with four Vs to 48 with two Vs.

F Class Standard A Grade had six shooters take to the mound with Roden Lohse taking the honours in the first stage 59 with three X centres.

In the second stage Adrian Holder shot a superb 60 with three X centres to shoot the only other stage possible of the day. Sig Sovik won FSA on the day beating Roden Lohse by just one X centre 117 with seven X centres to 117 with six X centres.

Eight Shooters vied for the honours in F Class Standard B Grade but in the end Ray Berger dominated them all.

Berger’s first stage saw him shoot a very respectable 57 with four X centres and follow that up with a 58 with three X centres giving him a 115 with seven for the day and in doing so beating most of A grade as well.

Congratulations to Ray Berger and Craig Holder who tied on 100 using the same amount of handicap counting out four others also on 100.
