Several good scores reflected the fantastic weather and playing conditions.
The first division winner was Lynne Ritchie with 72 nett. Beryl MacDonald claimed victory in second division after surviving a count back to finish ahead of Malva McDonald after both players returned good scores of 71 nett.
Unfortunately day two was postponed due to the atrocious conditions on Wednesday morning, howling winds and heavy rain put a stop to any hopes of teeing off.
The committee decided wind conditions could pose a threat to players and made a decision to postpone the next round until Monday, August 21.
On Wednesday, August 9 the ladies played the Keno Golf NSW Fourball Championship.
The winners of the day were Di McGuire and Anne Doohan with an excellent score of plus 9.
Ball competition winners were Marie Hackett and Malva McDonald on plus 6 and Olwyn King and Lynne Ritchie with plus 3.
The pairs of Di McGuire and Anne Doohan as well as Olwyn King and Lynne Ritchie have qualified to go on to play at the Blue Mountains District Final in September.
Upcoming events are the final rounds of the Club Championships and also Lithgow Open Day on September 4, which is sponsored again this year by Lean and Bennett Toyota.
The Lady Golfers congratulate and send best wishes to club secretary Henriette Pedersen and club member Ron Evans on their recent marriage.
