No sooner has the region settled into an early taste of then we are about to be plunged back into winter.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast cold, wet and windy conditions for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – and even the chance of snow above 900 metres on Friday.
The centre of Lithgow is again unlikely to see any snow but high country areas around the region may be more fortunate.
The forecast comes a week after the region’s first genuine snowfall of the season when several centimetres were dumped on Oberon last Monday night.
