The league tag ladies were defeated 24-0 while the Bears rugby league side went down 56-8.
The Bears league tag side was first to take the field against the Orange Barbies at Wade Park.
Both teams have been evenly matched throughout the year with the Bears taking the win in their last meeting.
Handling was an issue for both sides as they struggled with a number of knock-ons.
The Barbies managed to find a few holes in the Bears defence to find the try line to lead 24-0 at halftime.
Despite many chances of their own, the Bears were unable to find a reply on the scoreboard and neither side was able to score in the second half.
Nichole Strain and Ashlee Northey were jointly chosen as Players’ Player. Northey also received one point from the referee.
The men put in a solid effort after losing several players to injury but were could not prevent the Barbarians on passing the half century. The final score was 56-8.
Kaleb Ritchey and Corey Worboys scored the tries for the Bears.
Players’ Player this week went to fullback Blake Collins, who also received three points from the crowd. Collins was solid in defence and pulled off some unbelievable tackles.
Not much separated the two sides in the opening exchanges as the Barbarians only managed to score one try in the first 20 minutes.
However the Orange side pulled away to record a convincing victory.
All the Bears players should be congratulated for never giving up this season and giving 100 per cent in each game.
