A man has been charged after shots were fired into a business in Leura on Thursday morning.
Police from Blue Mountains Local Area Command were patrolling Leura about 1.40am on Thursday when they were told shots had been fired into a shop.
A 32-year-old man was arrested near the scene and taken to Katoomba Police Station.
He was charged with firing a firearm at other than dwelling disregarding safety; not keeping a firearm safely (x2); possessing ammunition without holding a licence; using an unregistered firearm (x2); not being a police officer wearing a police uniform; not keeping a firearm safely; possessing a loaded firearm in a public place; possessing an unregistered prohibited firearm; and firing a firearm into a building.
The man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday, July 21.
