The warning, issued at 5am, applies to areas of the Central Tablelands, Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts.
“Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Wednesday,” the warning states.
“… There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.”
The bureau is forecasting a maximum of just nine degrees in Bathurst today, with showers.
Earlier hopes for light falls of snow in the region appear to be fading.
