Zig Zag have not managed to win a game this season, but still put up a fight against the heavyweights, losing 5-0.
At the end of the first half, Bathurst City were only ahead by one goal.
“I think they were frustrated by our defence,” striker Jess Harris said.
“The Bathurst City coach actually said he we was surprised where we are coming on the ladder.”
Goalkeeper Kirsty Jenkins and fullback Jana Winnard performed particularly well.
Harris said the team had not had a “great season” but was optimistic about the Zig Zag’s future.
“We had a lot of players pull out at the start of the season so others had to come play,” she said.
“We’ve got a lot of junior players coming through the ranks and this season we’ve given the team experience.”
