Two teenagers were hospitalised after they were involved in a fight that broke out at midnight.
The gathering of young people turned into a violent confrontation and the pair were assaulted. They required medical attention.
The 17-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were treated by paramedics on the scene and then transported to Lithgow Hospital.
Police are continuing their investigations.
Jail drug busts
A number of visitors to Lithgow Correctional Centre were caught attempting to hand over drugs to inmates over the weekend.
In one instance a 38-year-old woman from Sydney was found with a substance believed to be meth.
In a separate drug detection a 20-year-old Sydney man has been identified as a suspect.
Investigations are continuing into the drugs and the circumstances surrounding their detection.
Prohibited drugs
A 24-year-old Lithgow man received a caution for possessing a small amount of a prohibited drug on Saturday.
He was stopped by police as he was driving in Lett Street. Police performed a search of the vehicle and its occupants.
The search found the man was in possession of a small amount of cannabis.
