Frost and fog affected the Lithgow region, with the overnight temperature dropping to -2 degrees.
The morning got off to a chilly start with a top of 12 degrees expected.
Roads and Maritime Services and NSW Police warned people to slow down in the region, with patches of ice on roads.
Traffic management was in place for a section of road near Heifer Station Creek near Orange, so if you are travelling, take care.
