Tamworth have proven to be a well-polished side and were yet to lose a game at home this season.
That did not change on Saturday night as the Thunderbolts came home strongly to defeat Lithgow by 18 points.
However the Lazers had the better of the early exchanges as they jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening minute of the match.
Addison Flynn lived up to his reputation – he averaged 24.36 per game heading into the clash – with two three-pointers before Tamworth reeled Lithgow back in.
Lithgow continued to stick with the Thunderbolts in a tight first half and went into the main break 49-42 behind.
The turning point came in the third quarter as Tamworth outscored Lithgow 25-9.
Lithgow tried their best to dominate the offensive boards but were unable to prevent the Thunderbolts taking advantage of a stack of their own second chance plays.
The fourth quarter saw a strong come back from the Lazers but the gap was a stretch too far.
Top-scorers for Lithgow were Addison Flynn with 24 points, including 10 from the free-throw line, and Adam Marjoram with 16. Ryley and Matt Hughes chimed in with 13 and 11 points respectively.

The Lazers will must win their last three games to have any hope of making the playoffs.
They will be at home this Saturday night against the Shoalhaven Tigers who sit fourth on the Waratah League table with a 10-4 record.
