Senior Minister Mark Smith said people often left these big questions unanswered.
"We figured it was a good thing to bring up to the surface and actually stop and take some time to reflect on what God has to say about suffering and evil and give space as well for people to perhaps ask questions and to create a conversation," Reverend Smith said.
Reverend Smith said suffering was something that affected us all.
"For everyone it's a pretty universal question, 'How do I make sense of life? How do I deal with God given the pain I've been through?',” he said.
However some of the tragic events over the past few months may also prompt people to use the word ‘evil’.
"Some of the things that have been going on in the world and coming back to us at the moment in the news feels more than just the ordinary brokenness of life.
"It feels like there's something deeper as to what's causing it that goes beyond the ordinary pain of life and ordinary explanations for pain."
Reverend Smith said he was looking forward to hearing people share their concerns and questions.
"The idea is a short bit of input... this is what God says in his word the Bible about the issue and about himself and about this world but then open it up for people to throw their questions.
"We want it be informative but also a conversation starter."
