You only get two sets of teeth so you better take care of them!

Students from Portland Central, St Joseph’s Portland and Cullen Bullen Public, received a visit from Smiles Onsite to promote healthier and happier smiles.

Smiles Onsite is a state-of-the-art mobile dental clinic with the latest equipment and technology.

Students were given lessons on personal oral hygiene and on how to make healthy food choices.

If you missed out on the opportunity this year, Smiles Onsite will be returning in 2018.

This term at Portland Central School, classes are focusing on a unit of work about sustainability.

Students worked with their buddies for most of the day and moved around in groups to complete great hands on activities.

They participated in various activities including paper making, mining for coal, circuit making, planting vegetable seeds and analysing rubbish.
