Though the Panthers created plenty of chances throughout the contest in Bathurst, it came down to Moylan’s late heroics for his side to sink the Canberra Raiders 24-20.
Moylan, who had crossed himself in the 12th minute, set up Corey Harawira-Naera and then Tyrone Peachey in a thrilling final minute.
“We were probably playing a bit too laterally and weren’t completing our sets,” Moylan, who made 125 running metres in the match but missed seven tackles, said.
“I think it was our execution that was letting us down. We gave ourselves good opportunities, but just little things, a few kicks I didn’t put them in the right spot, just little things like that got us on the back foot and we just need to fix that up.”
