Councillors made a unanimous decision to appoint Mr Faulkner to the position at an extraordinary meeting on April 27.
“Mr Faulkner comes to us with a wealth of experience in local government, having previously worked as general manager at a number of councils including Bega, Byron Bay and Wagga Wagga.” said Mayor Stephen Lesslie.
“The coming months will be a busy time for Mr Faulkner as he familiarises himself with the council, the local government area and the community.”
Cr Lesslie also congratulated Andrew Muir, who had been serving as acting general manager for the past seven months, on a job well done.
