Bathurst MP Paul Toole made the presentation to the memorial committee members to fly on the second flagpole installed by Lithgow City Council.
Now both the State and Australian flags will be on display.
Mr Toole said it was great to see such pride across the Electorate in the enhancement and maintenance of these special sites.
“I congratulate the Wallerawang War Memorial committee on their efforts to bring this special place of significance and remembrance to where it is today,” he said.
“It’s always great to see our standards on buildings as they are a great reminder of our national spirit.”
The Wallerawang war memorial was originally erected in memory of those from the district who served in World War I.
Two flanking sandstone walls were added to the memorial in 2011 to commemorate those who served in World War Two and later conflicts.
