The Lithgow local has been crowned king of the timbersports world following his win at the World Champions Trophy in Hamburg, Germany early on Sunday morning.
Brad won first place with a time of 01.02.23, beating Canadian Stirling Hart by less than 0.5 seconds.
The champion chopper reclaimed the title after winning the event in 2014 and 2015.
De Losa was made to work hard for it and was elated with his victory.
"It's great, the Champions Trophy is such a hard race and so much training and effort goes into preparing and getting yourself ready for it, it's always very satisfying to win,” De Losa said.
"It's getting harder and harder, I'm getting older and these competitors are certainly coming along quite nicely. Stirling I thought was going to be quite hard and he pushed me all the way in the final.
“The best man won at the end of the day and I’m glad it was me.”
In front of a crowd of thousands at the Cruise Center Altona, De Losa struck gold again, winning back the prestigious title of Champion of Champions.
In the final De Losa and Canada’s Stirling Hart thrilled the crowd with the closest race of the night.
De Losa took the lead in the stocksaw and managed to stay ahead in the underhand chop and single buck.
It looked like he was tiring on the standing block but he had done enough early on to claim the win and his third World Champions Trophy.
De Losa was on top early in the event, setting the fastest time during qualifying to be ranked first in the knock out ladder.
He then beat Swiss competitor Christophe Geissler in the quarter final easily to set up a semifinal against Martin Komárek from Czech Republic.
De Losa competed against:
- Jason Wynyard (New Zealand)
- Martin Komárek (Czech Republic)
- Dirk Braun (Germany)
- Stirling Hart (Canada)
- Matt Cogar (US)
- Christophe Geissler (Switzerland)
- Roger Gehin (France)
