The weather smiled on Rydal’s Biggest Morning Tea event on Wednesday, May 17.
The event helped to raise funds for the NSW Cancer Council.
Organiser Lorraine Stack was inspired to start the event last year and was stunned to raise $850.
Her husband John recovered from a lung cancer diagnosis four years ago and Lorraine said it affected everyone.
“Everyone hears of someone who has cancer. This was something fun we could do to help,” she said.
“It’s mainly about coming together and keeping in touch.
“You know what it’s like, the washing up, when there’s plenty of people around, is no chore.”
