Rough and tumble weekend in Lithgow | Police briefs

Police responded to reports of a fight at a hotel on Main Street in which people may have been assaulted with chairs at 2.45am on Sunday.

On arrival they found two heavily intoxicated men. Police will be looking to review CCTV footage of the incident.

Police also attended a different hotel in Main Street on Saturday night after an alleged brawl.

In a separate incident, three police cars responded to reports of a brawl in Henning Crescent in Wallerawang at 11.30pm on Saturday night.

A heavily intoxicated 47-year-old Wallerawang man was brought back to Lithgow Police Station as police were concerned for his welfare.

Drugs found in vehicle

A 28-year-old Caringbah man has been charged for possessing the drug ice following a vehicle search at McDonalds Lithgow on Sunday at 8.10am.

In a separate incident on Friday night a 20-year-old Blackheath man was found to be driving disqualified on Railway Parade. 

Both men are scheduled to appear at Lithgow Local Court on July 13.
