It was because he and his team-mates had to fight hard to beat Group 10 premier league rivals St Pat’s 24-10 at Carrington Park.
The Saints led 10-0 before the Panthers scored 24 unanswered points to clinch the win, Seager nabbing a pair of tries.
“It was unreal, it was a bloody tough game. Pat’s turned up to play, they were unreal,” he said.
“We’ve been starting slow, I don’t know why, it’s something we’ve got to fix. But we knew we had a comeback in us, we just had to hang in there.”
Seager was involved in an absorbing battle of the two forward packs, big hits and strong charges a feature of the match.
Former Panther Greg Behan and his fellow prop Brady Cheshire impressed for the Saints, while lock McCoy White took plenty of hit-ups.
Seager was just as hard for the Saints to stop, drawing three and four tacklers each charge he made.
“The forward battle with them is always fierce and tonight, especially with big Greg playing with us the last two years, it was always going to be big,” he said.
“Two and one is a good way to start, it would be good to have three wins, but hopefully we can get a roll on from here.”
