The first event consisted of a exhibition of metal sculptures, painting and drawings, a blacksmith demonstration and metal music by local band The Mullpigs.
It has grown year on year ever since. In 2007 it was recognised by the NSW Government as an event of state significance and in 2009 it attracted over 10,000 people.
This year, Ironfest 2017 The Lost World’s new events, displays, and features are expected to draw high numbers once again.
