The Lithgow Valley Film Society will screen the recent release ‘MAX’ (2015, PG).
This is not a kiddie flick but a story of a Malinois dog that helped American Marines in Afganistan.
When his handler Kyle Wincott is killed by a mine, his dog Max suffers from stress.
He is returned to the States where he is to be put down because he has trouble taking orders from other handlers. But then Max meets Kyle’s difficult younger brother, Justin, who adopts him and both of their lives change forever. It stars Thomas Haden Church, Josh Wiggins, Luke Kleintank, Lauren Graham and Robbie Amell.
A wonderful and human interest film that tears at your heartstrings and is not to be missed.
Screenings are on Friday, April 21 at 10.30am, Sunday, April 23 at 2pm and Tuesday, April 25 at 2pm.
