An annual university challenge designed to enhance teamwork skills and renew friendships saw Western Sydney University Bathurst Clinical School win in a tight, yet enjoyable, encounter.
After the trophy presentations, students and staff enjoyed a home style barbecue providing ample opportunities to share stories and meet new faces in rural health.
“This is just one of the many activities between Notre Dame and WSU designed to connect regional medicine students. A barefoot lawn bowls event was held in February at the Bathurst Clinical School,” Associate Professor John Dearin from Notre Dame’s Lithgow Rural Clinical School said.
“With an increasing emphasis on getting trained doctors into regional and remote areas in Australia, it is important that we provide ample opportunities for students to share their positive stories of rural life, make new friends and establish clinical contacts.”
