If ‘Puberty Blues’, the ‘Secret Diary of Adrian Mole’ or ‘Looking for Alibrandi’ are anything to go by, some of the funniest and intriguing writing comes from recording and imagining teenagers’ everyday lives.
If you are a teenager who likes to get creative, this could be the perfect age to start a journal – whether it be using poetry, collage, drawing or narrative.
Every Tuesday, starting from March 21st, Lithgow Learning Centre Library will be hosting Teenage Journalling groups – a fun and social activity for young people between the ages of 12 and 15 years. The group will be running weekly from 3.45-5pm every Tuesday until the end of term.
All materials and light refreshments are supplied.
The workshop will led by Meg Benson, Youth and Family counsellor at Lithgow Information & Neighbourhood Centre and Art Therapist Mishy Rowan.
