Two teenagers have been caught out by an automatic CCTV camera system as they attempted to rob a house in Church Street on Tuesday night.
As the 18-year-old and 17-year-old males entered the house they were snapped in the act by the CCTV camera which then sent a message to the owner of the residence.
The owner promptly contacted police who attended the house a short time later.
Police arrested the teenagers and found they had a bag filled with objects they had stolen from the property.
They were then brought back to the station and interviewed.
The 17-year-old was released and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act. The 18-year-old was charged and will appear in court at a later date.
