The weather held out long enough for all the events to be completed and it was a day enjoyed by competitors, spectators and teachers.
In total, 93 students entered events across the day from schools such as Capertee Public School, Cooerwull PS, Lithgow PS, Hampton PS, Portland CS, Wallerawang PS and Zig-Zag PS.
It was pleasing to observe friendly competition between all students and great sportsmanship exhibited.
Congratulations to all those students who received champion or runners up awards on the day and those that have qualified for the Western trials.
Approximately, a team of 40 students from the district will participate in the Western trials, which will be held west in Dubbo on Friday, March 10.
After a stellar meeting, at the conclusion of the carnival Lithgow Public was declared champion school.
