Although the Orange Hawks’ camp has kept relatively quiet so far in the pre-season, the two blues are set to welcome a couple of very handy recruits to their ranks for the Group 10 league tag season.

After finishing fifth the two blues were bounced out of the 2016 finals by Orange CYMS, in a thrilling elimination final at Oberon that finished 1-0 in the second period of extra-time.
It was a Bec Ford field goal that secured that victory for the green and golds and, in a massive development, Ford is one star who looks to have shifted across the two blues. Her clearance has been approved by Group 10.
On top of that, Grenfell Girlannas premiership-winners Amanda Livingstone and Prue Hancock have also linked with Hawks, as has Parkes Spacecats gun Ella Harris.
Harris led her side to the Group 11 league tag title last year, scoring in Parkes’ controversial 13-12 grand final win over Dubbo CYMS.
In that game, Harris was set up to take a field goal in extra-time but the ball was spun to fullback Claire Barber, who Spacecats coach Michael Dumesny labelled “the best fullback in Western Division” after the win, who slotted the match-winning one-pointer.
However, the Dubbo CYMS side was adamant she’d been tagged prior to taking the shot. The field goal counted, and Parkes won though.
Meanwhile, CYMS have picked up Chelsea Amone from Hawks along with Canowindra Tigers stars Alicia Earsman and Amy Carr.
