A grass fire on Sodwalls Road towards Tarana was contained yesterday afternoon after the blaze burnt approximately 150 hectares of land.

No people were injured and there was no loss of stock however a shed and numerous power poles were damaged.
The owner of the affected property was using a header when the machinery sparked a fire.
He attempted to extinguish the fire but it soon got out of control.
A number of RFS volunteers responded to the scene and were assisted by a helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft water bomber.
The residents in the surrounding properties were warned the fire was heading in their direction however there were no evacuations.
Sodwalls Road was closed for a period of time due to the fire and smoke in the area.
Stolen vehicle
A vehicle was stolen from a residence in Naomi Street yesterday between 5.30am and 4pm.
It is described as a green Toyota Camry wagon with registration CE8 7NS.
The car has not yet been found.
